Description

Design for a completely self-sufficient house containing three living units. Besides a main unit two secondary living units are include in the design. The units are connected to a main entrance space. All required electric energy is generated by photo voltaic panels. Because there is no enjoinment to the central grid but all energy is stored in batteries the pv-panels are orientated on the low winter sun. Solar collectors on the roof of the central entrance building provide warm water for heating the living areas. The solar boilers (one for every unit) can be additionally heated by LPG-gas. Collected rain water is filtered and used for house holding matters and as drinking water.

The living units are orientated to the sun benefitting optimal from passive solar energy for heating of living areas in winters. Large overhangs prevent over heating in summer. The units will be provided with a solar chimney for natural ventilation.

The building will be built as much as possible with used materials.
