Buildings and designs should help us to live in harmony with our environment. There is a relation between a house and its inhabitants. The building forms a physical part of the people living in it: they become friends, resulting in inspiring environment.
Most people have a close and personal relation with their house. This is a matter of attracting positive energy. Without this energy life could not exist; it’s the over-all cosmic power which ensouls everything. Architecture can help to enlarge this positive, live-giving energy and to neutralize negative forces of nature.
My goals as an architect is to use architecture to annul the contradiction between male and female energy and balance this energy to make sure every person can find his true self and live. If a person is balanced all contradictions disappear resulting in peace within this person as well as in his family and the world. Realizing harmony between human, architecture and environment results in healing architecture.
A home is more than a roof over your head; it’s a space to live in. A home connects us with nature and makes us live in harmony with its powers. All ancient civilizations had the knowledge to shape this aspect and express this in their way of life.
Our culture too used those principles hundreds of years ago; consider ley lines, geomancy and intuition. Architecture should assist to live in harmony with the given rules of this world. Using this kind of architecture we can give our fellow humans health, wealth and wisdom.
All living creatures are connected to the universe, origin from it and can return to it. Architecture can unite physical and spiritual knowledge (pointing out our way from a materialistic universe to the spiritual reality). There is a connection between humanity, with its divined origin, and the forces of the universe which allows him to reconnect with the universe.
Architecture (healing architecture) can lead a person by means of his basic need, living, to inner peace, insight and knowledge.
There should not be a difference between the secular and the sacral. Life can be seen as a meaningful unity, both body and house can be seen as a temple. If we become one with the universe, in all its dimensions, a building (architecture) can contact inhabitants or visitors in a natural way with higher beings and forces.
Healing architecture therefore is a spiritual science with strong religious elements. Knowledge and practical experience on the shape of the universe, movement of planets, the elements, astrology, building construction and, beside this, intuition and a clear character are most important for me as an architect.
A person can use architecture to intensify his relation with the Universe and to make his home a spiritual location granting him as much freedom as possible needed for his real spiritual life. A house designed according to universal laws brings happiness, wealth, health and peace.
Architecture is a picture of the universe we live in. The house mediates between human and cosmos. Nature’s energy has a positive (healing) influence on its inhabitants. We live in a field of energy raised by the structure of our house. Our house is a small resemblance of the universe containing all energies of the entire universe. Our happiness and development depend on the way we deal with those energies. The way we live reflects our life and our conscious. Because in someone’s life there is always the possibility to change, we can expect the same of our housing. It’s important we find directions in our environment to which of our and our life’s aspects we can work on.
When harmony in our living space is disturbed tension will occur and problems will rise. But when architecture projects the cosmic powers and properties to earth on in a harmonious way a living space is created in which problems decrease and positive, physic and spiritual energies flow from cosmos to its inhabitants. Space is not looked upon as a vacuum but as an element with complex internal structure influencing all thinks inside. To create a living space is to create a universe.
Examples of power places from history are the Egyptian pyramids, cathedral, temples and Stonehenge. Looking for modern healing design methods I discovered the power of the ‘Holy Geometry’. This is the geometric proportions the entire nature is build from.
Being a sober construction worker I wanted to discover if the energy can be experienced in a building. I build myself a place to sleep to experience the translation to a building in a direct way and to feel the energy. It worked magnificent: eight hours of straight sleep.
Architecture makes our homes good or bad by the positive or negative influences of energies created by shape, material, light and color. The influence of these factors creates an energy on a site or in a building. This field of energy both influences the building and the people living on it.
Architecture should take into account the primal energy of the universe in its design because humanity is connected to those energies.
